La Cité Européenne du Cinéma en Île de France
Le Conseil d’Architecture, d’Urbanisme et de l’Environnement de Seine Saint Denis m’invite à visiter la cité du Cinéma à Saint Denis.
L’ancienne centrale EDF de Pleyel, bâtiment industriel spécifique doté d’ équipements lourds, des chaufferies et autres tubulures, a donc été reconvertit pour le monde du 7ème Art par l’architecte Jean François Authier, associé du cabinet Reichen et Robert.
C’était le rêve du réalisateur Luc Besson et il a été au bout.
D’un point de vue Architecture , l’important était de sauver l’ imposante nef datant des années 30 et d’en conserver sa structure ainsi que sa « valeur Architecturale ». Elle est aujourd’hui le point de ralliement , de rencontres, de déambulations en tous genres pour les différents « locataires » des lieux.
Council of Architecture, Urbanism and Environment Seine Saint Denis invited me to visit the city of Saint Denis Cinema.
The former EDF power Pleyel, specific industrial building with heavy equipment, boiler tubes and other, has been converted back to the world of the seventh art by architect Jean François Authier, partner Reichen and Robert.
It was the dream of filmmaker Luc Besson went to the end.
From a viewpoint Architecture, the important thing was to save the imposing nave dating from the 30’s and keep its structure and its « Architectural value. » It is now the focal point of meetings, wanderings of all kinds for different « tenants » places.

Autoperformer HuGo Motor exhibited at the 5th edition of Architect @ work in Paris and presents its concrete white chocolate.
